How Do I Know If I am Pregnant?

A missed period is the most common pregnancy symptom, but it is by no means the only one. Symptoms vary from person to person, but you may also experience the following:

  • Nausea
  • Aversion to certain foods
  • Cramping and bloating
  • Darkening of the nipples
  • Excessive fatigue
  • Mood swings
  • Frequent urination
  • Spotting

Experiencing any of these symptoms, especially a missed period, is a sign that you should take a pregnancy test.

How Does the Pregnancy Test Work?

Our pregnancy tests are able to detect hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), the hormone released during pregnancy, as early as seven days after conception, or 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period. All tests are performed at our center, and our staff will be available to discuss the results of your test immediately following.
