Frequently Asked Questions
If you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy or believe you might be pregnant, you likely have many questions about your situation and your next steps. At Downtown Pregnancy Center, we are here to answer your questions and address any concerns you may have during this confusing time.
The most common symptom of a pregnancy is a missed period, but there are several others as well. Some common symptoms include nausea, fatigue, spotting, cramping, frequent urination, and tender breasts, among others. Downtown Pregnancy Center can provide you with a no-cost, laboratory quality pregnancy test so you can know for sure.
While some STIs/STDs can have varying symptoms, most are considered asymptomatic (no noticeable symptoms or signs) in their earliest stages. However, STIs/STDs can still be spread and cause damage to the body when there are no outward signs of an active infection and that’s why it is important to be screened if you’ve had unprotected sexual activity of any kind (vaginal, oral or anal).
It is important to have an ultrasound performed following a positive pregnancy test. An ultrasound can tell you several important things about your pregnancy, including gestational age and health of both yourself and the fetus.
All appointments at Downtown Pregnancy Center are no-cost and underwritten.
